Si tu me demandes mon avis perso, je te dirais que côté dev full-stack que je suis, j’ai un peu le même débat quand je dois choisir entre deux techs pour un nouveau projet ! Récemment, j’ai bossé sur un petit projet IoT qui consistait à alimenter une ferme de capteurs météo en énergie solaire. Au début, je me suis dit "pourquoi pas une éolienne, c’est plus stable ?" mais après quelques calculs et un hiver pluvieux où mes panneaux ont tout de même tenu le coup, je suis rentré dans le dur : le solaire était clairement le plus malin pour mon cas. Pourquoi ? Parce que mon installation était petite (quelques centaines de watts), sur un toit plat et sans vent constant. Les panneaux solaires, même en ville, avec un panneau de 300W et une petite batterie, ça m’a évité de me ronger les ongles à chaque coupure de courant. Par contre, si j’avais eu un terrain en bord de mer ou dans une zone venteuse, je me serais tourné vers une éolienne de toit, surtout pour l’hiver où les jours courts réduisent l’apport solaire. Côté efficacité énergétique, tout dépend du contexte : en grand scale, les parcs éoliens offshore ou les fermes solaires en plein désert cartonnent, mais pour du petit scale ou des zones avec un ensoleillement capricieux, le solaire reste souvent le roi. Mon kiff perso ? L’hybride : combo panneau solaire + petite éolienne + batterie intelligente. Mon pote en Bretagne l’a fait pour sa maison autonome, et depuis, même les tempêtes n’ont plus peur de lui !
