Right now I'm torn between two approaches before local league games. Should I focus on isolating specific skills—like ball handling drills or shooting form—and gradually build up to full scrimmages? Or is jumping into controlled game situations at full speed more effective for in-game prep? I get that scrimmages simulate the chaos, but too much without structure might reinforce bad habits. How do you strike that balance? Any drills you swear by to bridge the gap between practice and competition?
Pre-competition training: more skill drills or more scrimmages?
