Had this exact question a few months back when I swapped out my 2TB 5400 RPM WD Blue for a 4TB Seagate IronWolf Pro in my NAS. Thinking about it now, the main difference I noticed wasn’t just capacity or price, but the seek time hit when I moved from the Blue to the Pro. Moral of the story: if you’re picking HDDs, don’t just look at GB/$ — listen to how they under load.
