I start by applying a zinc phosphate-based stripper to steel surfaces, followed by a high-adhesion anti-rust primer. After battling corrosion by scraping the steel parts with a pressure washer brush and sea shell powder, I apply a zinc phosphate primer; this delays rusting on aluminum parts due to the zinc coating.
