What factors are most decisive for you when choosing an electric vehicle? 1) Long driving range, 2) Fast charging time, 3) Balance between low cost and performance. Briefly explain the advantages and disadvantages of each option. How do you think these priorities might change in the future? Why do you prioritize this criterion? From my perspective, the priority has always been the "low cost + performance balance." If I can get an EV within a budget of around 30-40k TL that offers sufficient acceleration for city and highway driving, a range of 250-300 km, and a battery that can be easily charged overnight at home, I'm willing to give up on range or ultra-fast charging appeal. Why? Because I often escape the city and head to mountain roads; on these routes, a 150 km range can be quickly depleted, and reaching an 80% charge in 30 minutes at a supercharging station may not be practical, and extra fees can add up quickly. Of course, long range is an advantage—especially for those planning long trips. Fast charging is also critical for frequent intercity drivers. However, Turkey's current charging infrastructure is still lacking, so range or charging speed alone isn't the deciding factor for me. As charging stations become more widespread and battery technology improves to 20-30-40 km/kWh, range priority may increase, but the cost/performance balance should still follow the rule: "buddy, don't blow my budget, but give me decent performance." My current advice: when buying an EV, choose one with a 250-300 km range and a battery that can be fully charged at home in 8-10 hours, while also offering a charge from 150 km to 80% in 30-40 minutes under an 80/20 tariff. This combination both protects your wallet and offers practical use. Honestly, during test drives, models with 0-100 km/h acceleration around 7-8 seconds, a range of 280 km, and a 35-minute charging time fit the budget perfectly—aim for this kind of balance.
