For my next project, I’d go for a sporty setup with direct steering and high torque. When I rebuilt my old 2005 Audi A4, I installed a stiff chassis kit and lighter wheels, which made the car feel much more agile right away and hugged the corners way better. The direct steering means you feel every move of the car, which is a huge plus when overtaking on the highway.
Of course, you lose a bit of comfort and the cabin gets a bit noisier, but with proper sound deadening, the difference is easy to live with day-to-day. If your goal is a dynamic driving experience while still squeezing a little extra performance out of the engine, this setup is the most convincing choice for me.
