Exactly, I had the same issue with my V8-powered sports coupe at around 600 hp. During the optimization phase, I always start with a torque mapping on the dyno: I set the torque peaks between 2500–3000 rpm and smooth out the curve with a slight delay in over-boost to avoid mechanical shocks. Once the tuning is validated, I move on to road tests to check turbo linearity, differential response, and exhaust gas temperatures under load. The key point is to keep the same reference points (airflow, oil pressure) between the dyno and the road so that adjustments remain consistent. For cooling, I prioritize a high-density aluminum radiator with increased airflow and a high-flow oil cooler, all mounted near the exhaust to take advantage of the air stream. I sometimes add a small carbon fiber intercooler with low weight and good airflow. For suspension, I go for adaptive dampers with 3-4 adjustable modes: daily comfort, sport, track, combining medium-rate springs with adjustable anti-roll bars to maintain a soft ride without sacrificing cornering precision. Finally, for maintenance, I change the engine oil and differential fluid every 8,000 km, monitor head gasket condition, and perform a visual check of the driveshaft bearing play every 12,000 km. These small regular checks prevent premature wear and ensure that the high torque remains reliable in daily use.
