Iron blocks are tough as nails, but modern aluminum blocks are way better for performance and fuel efficiency, bro. My old R32 Skyline had an aluminum block, and I never had any issues even with 400+bhp. Old-school blocks were durable, but aluminum wins big time when it comes to weight and cooling.
