I don’t think any other system gives you the same level of control as a manual from start to finish. When I get behind the wheel of an automatic, it’s like I’m being pushed around by a supermarket trolley. But with a manual, every gear lets you feel the car’s soul, watch the torque flow through. If you don’t get that rush in a performance BMW, what’s even the point?
