Binoculars, telescope, or just squinting with the naked eye? Which do you prefer and why? I'm just starting out too, so I'd love to hear about your experiences! 😊

What do you think about observing the Moon through a 10x50 binocular? Has anyone tried it before?
Binoculars are a more sensible starting point since they're easy to set up and use. With a 7x50 or 10x50 model, you can easily see many details on the Moon's surface, including craters. After starting with such binoculars myself, I moved on to a telescope and discovered just how fascinating the details of lunar observation can be. Plus, they're more portable than telescopes, making it easier to navigate the night sky.
Of course, watching the crescent Moon at sunset with the naked eye is also a pleasant experience, especially if you can find a spot away from light pollution. But with binoculars, you're not only getting practice but also tracking how the shadows and plains on the Moon's surface change. They're also a great way to start observing your first star clusters or planets.
