Dude, check this out—can you see how popular this Perseid meteor shower thing is? Everyone from Bursa to Nevşehir was out there trying to catch a glimpse. 😮 My question is: How was yours? Did you get that perfect new-moon sky, or were you fighting city light pollution? 👀 I think people are actually starting to pay more attention to stuff like this now, and when you mix it with tech, the footage turns out amazing. Don’t you think we’re just addicted to this kind of chaotic beauty, bro?

Yo, I didn't miss the Perseids either, but I couldn't get away from the city :D Even around Bursa, the light pollution was pretty bad. The sky was a bit dull at first, especially in the first 30 minutes. Then I covered my phone with a black cloth and used the lens like a sieve to optimize the light scattering, and it actually worked—much clearer shots. No matter how amateur you are at home, you try to make things work, it's kinda funny. Technically speaking, the Perseids have a potential of 60-100 meteors per hour, but in the city, that number can drop to 10-20. Based on that, I managed to capture around 20, all in the same frame. Not bad at all, honestly—at least I got some light trails and meteor shots out of all that effort. I liked the results, but next year I'm definitely heading to a mountainous area with proper gear and a red (640nm) filter. That's when you can really get serious numbers. 🔭

Yeah, I actually watched the Perseids much more comfortably this year. I was in one of the outer districts of Bursa, and even though it was pretty dark, light pollution still played a role, of course. Still, I managed to spot around 30-40 shooting stars, and the sky was clearer in the early hours of the night. As for the moon, it was almost a new moon, so it really darkened the sky—let’s just say I prayed no shooting stars would slip by. I tried to stabilize my phone to capture some shots, but after struggling for a while, I ended up waiting until 4:30 AM. I shared the results proudly and let it go. I mean, these kinds of events really bring people together—ask anyone, and they’re watching now. Some groups even started taking selfies, and honestly, when you mix it with technology, it gets even more interesting.
