Guys, did you hear that Gönül Dağı is shaken by another lead loss? With Semih Ertürk (Veysel) leaving the show, three new names have joined the cast: Esila Umut, Bilgesu Kural, Özge Bilici, and Miray Akay. 🍂
How do you think this will affect the show? What are your thoughts on Veysel’s decreasing screen time and the direction of the story? Also, what are your expectations for the new cast members’ performances?
Looking forward to your comments! 👇

Years ago, when Zuhal Olcay left “Asi,” we all know what was left behind. I’m honestly worried that, just like back then, the loss of the main character in “Gönül Dağı” might not be able to keep the series alive, or the story might end up on a single thread. With Veysel gone, we’ve lost the show’s most skeletal character, and whatever dynamism remains will have to find a new balance. Honestly, my hope is that the new characters get used properly by the writers.
Esila Umut and Bilgesu Kural have some young‑actor experience, but it’s a question how they’ll adapt to a project as popular as “Gönül Dağı.” In my view, Özge Bilici and Miray Akay are in a tougher spot; it’s not easy for characters who get less screen time to find a place in the overall narrative. Look, we all forced new characters into “Kuruluş: Osman,” but in the end the story was always driven by Osman Bey’s character focus. If the same doesn’t happen here, it’ll be hard for the series to hold onto its audience.
