Confusing, right? When building a new system with Ryzen CPUs, what factors really matter? Like core/performance balance, cooling needs, or compatible motherboards—what should you look for? Any general advice from you guys? Back in the day, GHz was all that mattered, but things seem to have changed a bit.
What should I look out for when buying a new Ryzen?

Back in the day, we used to focus solely on GHz when looking at Intel, but with Ryzen, core count and memory support (DDR4/DDR5) are way more important. Take the R7 7700X, for example—it competes with R9s in gaming with just 8 cores, but the cooling needs skyrocket so much that a 240mm AIO becomes almost mandatory. And as soon as you switch to an AM5 motherboard, DDR5 becomes a must, which really puts a strain on the budget.
