Which older GPU generation do you prefer for retro gaming sessions? Do you lean towards the early 10-nanometer models, the mid-range 28-nanometer chips, or the later 40-nanometer variants? Please choose one option and briefly explain why this generation works best for you with older titles (performance, driver support, power consumption, etc.). Your experiences will help anyone still using older cards.

I'd rather go with the mid-range 28nm chips – they offer enough power for retro titles, the drivers run stable, and at least my student budget can handle more than just pixels 😅💻. The 10nm models are still too exotic for me, and the 40nm variants would empty my piggy bank way too fast 🐖.
