Don't worry, I also prefer "unmodified" pre-built systems: choosing everything individually, assembling it, manually adjusting cooling performance... But if you know the market well, pre-builts are also serious alternatives.
For example, if you work with laptops like mine, due to the "monumental" BIOS limitations in these systems, you can only use 50% of the hardware in hybrid modes. Whereas in a pre-built desktop (like Eurocom's models), you can configure everything down to the finest detail—from power profile settings to keep GPU throttling at a minimum to adapting fan noise—everything is in your hands. So if I hadn't chosen a pre-built, I would have either struggled with performance in a DIY laptop like that, or just bought a system and "made do" with it for 3 years.
