I don't fully understand how HDDs work. Does this system, which consists of platters and read/write heads, store data magnetically? How does the movement of the head affect data access? What are the advantages/disadvantages of this technology compared to the logic of SSDs?
What is an HDD and how is data stored?

Exacto, HDDs store data as tiny magnets on spinning platters. When the read/write head moves, it accesses data based on its position, but that mechanical movement makes it slower than SSDs, which have no moving parts. Do you think that justifies the higher price of SSDs today?
