I had a two-month-long fight between these two last year when I was setting up a new editing system, bro. First, I got the i5-12600K and ran assembly render tests—yeah, I even put 8K clips in Premiere at 1080p, but sometimes it would just say "wait up." Then, bro, my friend recommended the i9-13900K, and boom—render times dropped by half. But of course, the bill hit just as hard.
In the end, I figured it out like this: if it's just basic office work, 50 Chrome tabs + Excel reports, the i5 is enough. But if you're a video editor and freelancing, you'll eventually die waiting for renders, so go for at least an i7+. Plus, the price difference isn’t even that much anymore—like 200-250 TL—so getting an i7 is like investing in the future.
