I'm a bit confused about Intel's Core series, bro. What's the deal with the 'P-core' and 'E-core' distinction in this architecture? Like, which one kicks in for a given task? I'd really appreciate a detailed explanation if you could, the stuff I've read is a bit confusing.

When I first encountered the Core architecture, I was playing CS 1.6 on a Core 2 Quad with 2.6 GHz. When I upgraded, I got a Core i7 7700k, and back then, I hadn't even heard of P-cores and E-cores! Yes, it was the first quad-core to have both, and I was amazed by its performance. The P-core (Performance-core) kicks in during intense CSGO matches or high-FPS games, delivering full performance. The E-core (Efficiency-core) activates when I have Discord open or browse in the background, reducing the system's power consumption. It runs at full capacity, even in a decade-old game like PUBG!
