Rumors suggest that the next generation of hybrid architecture processors will double down on energy efficiency and single-core performance. There’s talk of improvements in thread management and optimizations for AI-integrated workloads. Has anyone seen recent benchmarks or technical leaks that back this up? Or do you think it’ll stick to prioritizing smaller cores and high frequencies? It’s interesting to watch the debate between raw power and real-world optimization for end users evolve.

Well, this reminds me a lot of what happened with ARM's big.LITTLE architecture when it came to mobile phones a few years ago. At first, everyone thought it was a huge leap in efficiency, but then we realized that for certain heavy tasks (like rendering a game or editing video), it still relied heavily on the powerful cores rather than the hybrid optimization. With Intel's hybrid architecture, I see something similar: yes, they can be more efficient in light loads or simple multitasking, but if you have software that really pushes the CPU (like a competitive game or an emulator), in the end, pure performance is going to depend on how well those strong cores are utilized. That's where the integrated AI comes into play, because if the small cores don't collaborate well with the big ones in real time, we'll still have bottlenecks. Not to mention that AMD has been doing this for years and still, in the gaming sector, their Threadripper and traditional Ryzen chips win in many benchmarks.

Thanks for starting this thread, it's interesting what you're saying. Do you think that with these changes Intel's hybrid processors will finally manage to surpass AMD in efficiency for CAD?
