Man, if you're gonna buy a laptop, you gotta have a preference, seriously. Last year, while working at a subcontractor firm, I was in the exact same dilemma. I first looked at ultrabooks since I wanted something I could take outside the office too, around 1.2 kg and all. But then the keyboard felt too cramped, the screen way too small. Plus, it couldn’t even handle video presentations properly!
Anyway, I couldn’t take it anymore, so I bought a mid-range gaming laptop. I didn’t have issues with everything—just got a bit annoyed when I had to use it in the same spot all the time. But at least I figure it’ll last me 3-4 years. For those who don’t care much about portability or don’t go out of the office much, I’d say performance is *mieux*!
