I'm buying a case for my PC, but the cooling part is confusing me. For example, how do fan count and placement vary? What's passive cooling, anyway? What's the most logical way to expel heat? What should I keep in mind regarding airflow?
How should the case be ventilated, is it important?

Dude, I was just as clueless as you back then, bro. On my first PC, I slapped fans in randomly, just yelling "spin faster, spin faster," and it still overheated 😅 Passive cooling, huh? That’s just hot air slowly dissipating without any fans, but that’s not gonna cut it for a gaming rig. The smart move is cold air in, hot air out, and just scatter the middle fans randomly—then I slapped in extra fans just ‘cause a brand was sponsoring me 😂
Am I one of those who gets confused about ventilation like me 😅 Honestly, I'm not even sure about the term "airflow." But in short: you'll place the fans to intake air at the front and exhaust at the back, and passive cooling is probably that thing they call "ファンが無い方が冷える" 😂
