The key to fixing airflow without flipping it upside down is setting up the fan push/pull chain correctly, bro. I usually go for 3-4 front intake fans + 1-2 rear/side exhaust fans combo. That way, the cold air stays trapped inside, and your CPU/GPU can breathe easy. Passive cooling, meaning no fans, is only good for office rigs that just tick along; try gaming or rendering, and you’ll be breaking heat records nonstop. Just don’t go overboard with the fan count—too many fans mean more noise. The real headache during assembly isn’t the screws—it’s cable management, trust me. Get a good case with foam/mesh panels or plastic cable organizers to keep airflow smooth and your build tidy. I love the foam-lined side panels on the Lian Li Lancool 215; they hide cables like a charm. For screws, keep an electric screwdriver handy—especially for those thin rear panel holes that’ll drive you nuts. Lastly, when picking a case size, check the GPU length, your water cooling setup, and fan placement. You don’t want everything crammed in with no room for upgrades later.

I start off like most people when choosing a case, focusing on airflow and build quality, but then "usability" comes into play. Have you ever assembled a Zalman or Fractal Design case? The screw system and cable management are so intelligently designed that it's almost like snapping together LEGO pieces. Back in the day, Antec models had those tedious screw-heavy setups, but now most brands use quick-mount clips or toolless systems. That’s a real lifesaver for someone new to PC building. As for cooling, I only go for passive cooling if I want silence or have a very low TDP system—trying to cool an i5-13600K’s 125W passively is basically asking for trouble. But when it comes to fan placement, it’s a total "upside-down" situation: I used to prefer top-front fans because heat rises, but then I realized modern tower cases direct airflow way better with front-bottom fans. Now, my setup runs smoothly with at least two fans at the front, one exhaust at the back, and an optional fan on top. Sometimes I even add a 3-pin fan hub to adjust fan speeds automatically based on temperature instead of doing it manually.
