Is a 1080p monitor worth it? Won't it become outdated?

What do you guys think about 1080p monitors these days? I've heard they're not as high-quality as they used to be, but I'm curious about their performance on 24-27 inch screens. How important is image quality in gaming or design? Does it make sense to upgrade to 1440p at the same price? Do you think 1080p monitors will still be sufficient in the future? Do they help with FPS?

I bought a 24" 1080p monitor (IPS panel) two years ago and never had any issues with gaming or general use. When I upgraded to 27", the pixel density dropped a bit, but with Full HD at 144Hz, the performance is still very satisfying with minimal FPS loss. The color accuracy was also decent, and after calibration, I had no problems with Adobe applications. I can't say it won't become outdated, especially as 4K and higher resolutions become more common—1080p might fall below the standard in the future. But for now, it's both budget-friendly and performance-oriented, especially noticeable in e-sports or competitive games where the FPS boost is directly felt. If you're considering moving to 1440p, the price difference and increased GPU load should be taken into account—especially for mid-range systems where performance loss can be noticeable.
