Recently, the options for 1080p monitors have increased significantly. Some promise incredible color accuracy, while others are speed-focused. Prices are also generally reasonable. What do you think we should consider when buying a 1080p monitor these days? Between quality, refresh rate, and panel type, which matters most to you? I mostly play games for smooth visuals—what features would you prioritize?

If you're looking for a gaming-focused 1080p monitor, you should first consider the refresh rate and panel type. Since I mostly play competitive games, I prefer models with 144Hz or higher. A fast screen almost eliminates any sense of lag and gives you a huge advantage in competitive gaming.
As for panel type, while IPS seems like the most logical choice, TN panels can have lower response times for fast movements. If color accuracy is important to you, go for IPS; if it's just about speed, consider TN, or for a balance between speed and color, VA might be the way to go. I chose a monitor with a 1ms response time to reduce eye strain, and I find it comfortable even during long gaming sessions.
