Laser mice, on the other hand, use a laser diode that generates a thin, more coherent beam. Thanks to this, the laser can "see" micro-textures even on glossy or transparent surfaces, making these mice work on almost any texture. However, they are often more sensitive to minor vibrations and may "jitter" on uneven mousepads. In practice, I’ve noticed that high-DPI (1600–3200) laser models are great for FPS games where quick response is needed, while optical mice with DPI around 800–1200 offer more predictable control for strategy games and long-range aiming. Choose optical if you play *Counter-Strike* and prefer stable crosshair movement without extra "noise," and go for laser if you need a versatile sensor for different surfaces.
