When it comes to buying a mouse for gaming, we all have that one question on our minds: wired or wireless? Are you worried about lag or battery life? Personally, I barely notice any lag with wireless mice anymore, so I almost exclusively use them now. But sometimes, wired mice just feel more reliable to me. Which advantages do you find more appealing? Or do you prefer a hybrid solution?

I went through the exact same dilemma when I upgraded from my old Logitech G Pro to the Razer Viper V2 Pro. At first, I was skeptical about wireless lag, but honestly—I didn’t notice it in Beat Saber after the first few songs. There’s like a 0.5ms extra delay with the Viper’s HyperSpeed tech, which for me is completely drowned out by the sabers slashing. Battery life’s been solid too; I swap the AAAs once every two weeks during my gaming sessions. The only time I’d recommend wired is if you’re on a tight budget—wired can still be $20 cheaper for similar performance. Otherwise, the convenience of not tripping over a cord mid-game is a total game-changer.
