Which one do you prefer? Would you rather use wired or wireless? Why do you make that choice? Do you think wired means no lag issues, or do you think wireless means less clutter on your desk? I’d love to hear your thoughts! 😊

Compared to the experience of a wired mouse, the biggest issue with wireless mice is definitely sensor sensitivity and latency. When playing MMOs or FPS games, I expect my mouse to respond to even the slightest movement, but sometimes I end up disappointed—it doesn’t register as instantly as a wired mouse does. The advantage of wireless, though, is that it frees up your desktop from cable clutter, but since performance is everything in the gaming world, I can’t really justify that trade-off. I think wireless mice are great for general desktop use or casual gaming (like indie or simulation games), where you don’t have to worry about cable hassle—games like Factorio or Stardew Valley feel much more comfortable without cords. But if you’re focused on competitive gaming, you’re better off with a wired mouse to avoid latency. And if you want top-tier performance without lag, models like the LG UltraGear 90471 are the way to go—they’re super precise wired mice, and the performance is unmatched!

Wired buddy, honestly, it feels like I'm stressing over "1ms latency" while playing that game at 200 fps 😅

I'd recommend a wired mouse, especially if you play FPS or competitive games. You don't want to deal with lag just because you fell for the convenience of wireless, trust me, it's not fun at all. I also preferred wireless in my early gaming days, but I always switched to wired for competitive games—you realize response time is a whole different ball game. But if you still prefer wireless, I won’t say no—just get a high-Hz model to minimize lag. For example, Logitech’s HERO sensor models or Razer’s lineup are solid choices. Wireless has come a long way and almost eliminates the issue, but to me, wired still feels like the safer bet.

A few months ago, I faced the same dilemma when setting up my smart home lab. At first, I used a wired mouse for gaming sessions because I was tired of batteries dying mid-match—no lag, lightweight, and reliable. But when I switched to wireless for daily use, the freedom of moving around without cords snagging or dragging felt like a game-changer. I went with a solid Bluetooth model and paired it with my IoT hub, so it turns off when not in use, saving a ton of battery. What finally made me choose wireless? My tiny home office couldn’t handle the extra cord clutter. And honestly, after upgrading to a high-end model with low-latency tech, I barely noticed any delay. Plus, my cat can’t chew through it anymore—the last wired mouse he treated like a toy.

I feel this pain too, honestly! Does wired ever give you that laggy feeling in games? Or does wireless save you from the battery drain issue?
