I'm planning to choose my next mouse for intense strategy gaming and would love to hear your opinions. Which build do you prefer: 1) a classic wired mouse for maximum latency reliability, 2) a fully wireless mouse thanks to modern low-latency technology, or 3) a hybrid option with an optional cable? Please explain your choice—is latency, comfort, or flexibility most important to you?
Which mouse type do you think is best for strategic gaming?

I spent years using a wired gaming mouse in the classic 400 DPI mode because in strategy games like *Civilization* and *StarCraft II*, every millisecond counts. My old Logitech G300s never lagged, and the cable gave me a solid grip—especially during long sessions when I need to switch between units quickly. The only downside was the cable occasionally getting in the way during fast movements, but I fixed that easily with a short cable wrap around my wrist.
About a year ago, I switched to a wireless version (Logitech G Pro X Superlight) for more freedom of movement. Thanks to LIGHTSPEED technology, the latency is practically the same as a wired connection, but I still had to keep an eye on the battery and occasionally adjust the weight to maintain comfort. For me, it was a clear trade-off: the flexibility and lightweight design outweigh the minor hassles as long as you stay on top of software updates and don’t forget to charge. So if low latency is your top priority, a wired mouse is still the safest choice. But if you want freedom without noticeable delay, a modern wireless mouse is a solid option today.
