However, the reason professional gamers still prefer wired models is because input lag is almost zero. Yeah, I totally agree, man—wireless mice have really started to leave their wired counterparts in the dust lately. I’ve been rocking a 120Hz RF mouse for a few years now (it’s a budget model, too), and I haven’t noticed even a hint of input lag. So yeah, even though pros still swear by wired, I think they’ve moved past worrying about lag. If you’re an FPS player who’s ever bitched about a "hoppdedi" moment, seriously—give it a shot.
But obviously, they both have their own turf. Like, for casual gaming or office work, wireless is just so damn convenient—plug in, play, done. But if you’re a competitive esports player or just can’t stand even the tiniest delay, wired’s still the safest bet. Me? I keep a wired mouse in the drawer just in case, but I can’t say I’m fully sold on the idea.
