According to the latest news, it's expected that next-gen motherboards will standardize PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 support. With increasing competition among manufacturers, we can also expect more attractive price-to-performance ratios. However, with such rapid changes, compatibility issues seem inevitable. How long do you think we should wait for this transition to new standards? Or how long can current systems last?
New-gen motherboards are on the way, what do you guys think?

After doing quite a bit of research last month, I tested whether the ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F supports PCIe 5.0 SSDs, and I had no issues—currently using it and very satisfied. It also runs DDR5 RAM perfectly stable with no hiccups in the system at all.
I don’t see the point in waiting for new standards to mature, since next-gen components are already designed to support them. I’d personally wait 3-4 months for prices to stabilize a bit, but for anyone looking to build a new system right now, there are already plenty of compatible motherboards available.
