Hello, I'm curious about air cooling systems. How do they dissipate a device's heat? For example, how do fans and the cooling body work together? Which components are important and what affects efficiency? Does anyone have information on this? If you could explain it simply, we'd all benefit!

Air cooling systems actually operate on a pretty straightforward principle: transferring and dissipating heat into the air. Fans pull cool air into the case, and the heat sink (usually made of aluminum) absorbs the heat from the warm airflow, spreading it out. Essentially, the fans keep the air moving, while the heat sink absorbs the heat trapped in that air and expels it. Sometimes, applying thermal paste to the heat sink can boost efficiency by maximizing the contact surface. I recently tested this on my own PC—after swapping out the fans and reapplying thermal paste, my temps dropped by 10 degrees. The right number and size of fans matter too, of course; bigger fans move more air, while stock fans run quieter. But it’s worth remembering that overclocking generates more heat, so fan performance needs to be adjusted accordingly.
