I'm looking to optimize the cooling of my system with an air-cooling setup. What criteria do you generally prioritize? For example, fan size, air volume vs. static pressure, noise levels, airflow layout inside the case, or even considering the thermal density of components. I'd also like to know your strategies for balancing performance and silence, as well as best practices for placing intake and exhaust fans. Your feedback, experiences, and suggested setups are welcome! What advice do you have?
How to choose an effective air cooling solution for your PC?

For a newbie like me, I’d first pick a 120mm "high-airflow" fan and cross my fingers the noise stays under 30dB—otherwise, I’ll end up wearing a construction helmet 😂. In practice, prioritize high static pressure for radiators, place an intake at the front and an exhaust at the back, and don’t forget to clean the filters regularly so the PC doesn’t turn into a chicken grill 🍗.
