I bought a SATA SSD that was the best value for my budget a few months ago, 1TB for 850₺. Then an opportunity came up, NVMe 1TB for 900₺, and I thought, "Does it make a difference?" so I switched. First impressions: wait times for game loads were cut in half, GTA V's files downloaded in 1.5 minutes instead of 3. File transfers are the same way—copying a 7GB folder used to take 1 minute, now it's down to 25 seconds. But what I like most is that during multitasking, the system doesn’t struggle—Chrome + Spotify + Discord + Lightroom all open at once, and I don’t feel any performance drop. Of course, it’s not for everyone. My setup has a 5600X, an M.2 slot on the motherboard, and 32GB of RAM, so the NVMe advantage is even more noticeable. SATA SSDs are still fast enough, sure, but if you’re like me and don’t want to lose even 10-20 seconds, switching to NVMe was worth it. Just check the price-to-performance ratio—if you’re not doing heavy file transfers or gaming, a SATA SSD should be fine.
