Here’s a strategy and resource guide for those just starting with the KPSS exam: First off, what’s the best approach to tackle this exam? Should you focus on certain subjects first, or spread your efforts evenly? And what about study materials—are digital lessons more effective, or do you prefer printed books? Any recommendations on resources that actually work?

Hey buddy, the most critical question for someone just starting KPSS is which subjects to focus on first. I think there's a clear answer: Basic Math and Turkish! Why? Because all other subjects (History, Geography, Citizenship, etc.) actually depend on these two. For example, if you can't solve ratio and proportion in Math, the population density topic in Geography goes haywire. So, it makes sense to dedicate the first 2-3 months to these two. In Turkish, focus especially on Paragraph and Grammar, as these areas make up about 50% of the exam. Now, when it comes to resources, digital or printed? Well, it depends on the individual, but generally, a combination of both is most effective. For instance, while studying Math and Turkish with printed books, using printouts, colored pens, and maps for subjects like History and Geography that rely on memorization activates the brain more. As for digital lessons, I don't prefer them much until AYT, as just watching videos and moving on prevents truly absorbing the material. My recommendation is to start with a good set of practice exams and subject-specific books. For Math, "Acil KPSS Matematik" and for Turkish, Murat Can Tuzcu's books can be a good start. Then, focus on taking practice exams to build skills. Of course, constantly taking practice exams can also drain your motivation, so I suggest doing things that keep your motivation high from time to time. So, what if you're not going to a prep school and studying entirely on your own? How would you plan your study schedule?
