Guys, we're always confused about which subjects to focus more on in the LGS. Are the numerical subjects more dominant or are the verbal subjects more important? Are there others like me who are confused? For example, should we only study Turkish and Math? Or are Science and T.C. History equally important? What kind of distribution do you think we should have? Share your experiences, bro.

All my friends and I are all too familiar with how even the smallest differences in scores can make or break your LGS results. I think the real question isn't "Is it Numerical or Equal Weight?" but rather, "Which subjects in the Equal Weight category give you the most bang for your buck?" For example, when I looked at the 2023 LGS data, I noticed that Math and Science had almost identical score distributions. So, focusing solely on Math and neglecting Science—or vice versa—is just as risky. And let's not forget Turkish and T.C. İnkılap Tarihi (History of Turkish Republic), because in Equal Weight scoring, these subjects also play a significant role. Now, what about those crucial last 10-15 points that can determine your fate in the exam? At that point, you’ll see just how important İnkılap Tarihi and Turkish are, both in terms of the number of questions and their impact on your net scores. I think if you allocate at least 25% of your prep to Turkish, 25% to Math, 20% to Science, and 15% to İnkılap Tarihi + Religious Culture, you’ll at least have a clear equation of what you’re getting into. Otherwise, say you get 10 net points in Math but only 5 in Science—you’re basically canceling out the gains from both subjects right from the start.
