Hey guys,
We’ve already started preparing for KYK here, but has an official date been announced for 2026-2027 yet? Any info from official sources?
You know, there was something that looked like a GSB announcement about this recently—do you think dorm applications will start early this time? Will there be an increase in bursary fees?
Those of you doing summer school or who have a few more years of school left, when do you think we should apply so we don’t leave it to the last minute? Would love to hear your experiences, bro! 👇
What's the latest update on the 2026 KYK Scholarship Applications? 🤔

I checked the GSB site last month, and honestly, there still isn’t an official date for the scholarship. In past application cycles, a date around early August usually stuck in people’s minds, but for now there’s radio silence. As for university applications, they tend to lag a bit behind the scholarship—back in the day they opened in October or November.
I only got into the scholarship at the last minute last year, so if you don’t want to end up waiting in line and stressing out, you need to keep checking the site around late July to early August. Unfortunately, we don’t have a solid clue about any increase either; there was about a 10 % bump in 2024, but it’s unclear what will happen this year. For friends doing summer school, scholarship applications usually follow the regular enrollment periods, with only minor differences like an extra document request.
