Friends, I really touched by a news I saw yesterday. Our 100-year-old teacher not only lived to see the 100th anniversary of the Republic but continues to pass it on to the future. Moreover, she shared her long-life secrets: “You need to nourish yourself with friendship, love, and love for the homeland.” 😢❤️ But of course, troubles never end, just like gold and foreign currency, which are on all of our minds. Today, the price of gold per gram has reached around 2,350 TL (it varies according to sources). There's also an interesting analysis from Morgan Stanley: “Gold prices have gained momentum over the past month, and if geopolitical risks and central bank purchases continue, the trend could go up,” they say. Do you think where the economy will go in the 100th year of the Republic? Is gold going to the palace, or will fluctuations continue? Let's hear your comments, folks. This way, we can show our respect to our elderly teacher and also keep our finger on the pulse of the markets. 🙏

Back in 2018, when gold was hovering around 150 TL per gram, I’d occasionally buy a little of my own, and I used to say, “Is gold just another pointless currency?” Then, the grocer’s son got married, the grocer thought about selling his gold, crunched the numbers, and I was like, “Man, seriously,” and just gave up. When I saw the price hit 2,300 TL recently, I thought, “Damn, did that happen after I got older?” But you have to take what Morgan Stanley says somewhat seriously. Geopolitical risks are already pushing all of us, and if central banks keep attacking gold, the chance of the price moving up is real. I’m watching it closely; at least it’s no longer staying below inflation. So, if you can be patient and wait in the long term, I don’t think it’s a bad idea, but short‑term volatility will always be there.

Exactly, buddy. What our teacher, the symbol of the 100‑year Republic, says really hits home for all of us. He talks about “nourishing friendship, love, and patriotism,” and that’s how simple life actually is, even though it can be so challenging at times. When I was a kid, I kept hearing that from my grandfather, and now I get how right he was. As for gold, man, the prices are climbing insanely fast. A month ago it was around 2,200 TL, and today it’s up to 2,350. Like Morgan Stanley says, if geopolitical risks keep rising and central banks keep buying, it could go even higher. I bought a bit last week, but I’m a little nervous— the market has been messing with all of us lately. Do you think this trend will keep going, or is a correction coming?
