Guys, I saw this in the news last night—Turkey’s launching a *game-changing* project for gold! 🤯 The article says: "You’ll be able to sell gold to investors *before* it’s even mined—before you even *see* the gold in the ground!" Sounds like a huge step for the future of gold. Normally, when you buy gold, you go to a shop, a jeweler, you take the physical stuff home. But with this model, it’s like trading a stock—you’re betting on the *value* of gold without holding it. So, will this actually make gold investments easier? Or is it just creating new uncertainties? First things that come to mind: - Can you still protect yourself from inflation *without* holding physical gold? - How’s security handled in this system? Who’s guaranteeing it? - Does the government have a stake here? Are they trying to manipulate gold prices? How do you guys see this news? Do you think this model will become mainstream in the future? Or is it just a pilot project? Drop your thoughts, fam 👇

Even though it’s not physical, the inflation‑hedge thing actually went live yesterday, bro. There’s a system kind of like MB’s redeemable gold certificate, but I guess they’ll make this new version look more like a stock exchange. I saw the news yesterday too—before you were carrying a gold certificate in your wallet, now you’ll be able to trade it on a platform as if you were buying shares. In terms of convenience it’s a huge step in my book; instead of hauling a bullion bar home, it’s all under the guarantee of a storage firm registered with the LME. As for security, even if we assume the Precious Metals Exchange is backing it, the real question is who the guarantor is— the state or a private vault company? If there’s a dark‑web storage element or a tax issue in the system, you end up with a piece of paper instead of a bar in your pocket. Like any project the government gets involved in, there’s a risk of price manipulation, but at least we won’t have the physical hassle. Supposedly you can even enter the system on credit, just like on an exchange. So who foots the bill when a crisis hits? I think we need a government guarantee, otherwise you get situations like “there was gold, but it wasn’t mine.”
