When getting a new system or upgrading existing hardware, is the CPU or GPU more important? Especially for gaming, video editing, or heavy multitasking... In general, which do you prioritize? Which do you think has a bigger impact on system performance? What are your recommendations?

I had such a struggle last year while editing 4K videos, bro. The system would freeze up during rendering. At the time, I had an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X CPU and an RTX 3070 GPU. First, I thought about upgrading the CPU, so I switched to a 5950X—it cost me, but the difference was noticeable. Render times halved, sure, but the system still locked up when I tried running a game or another program alongside the render. Then I realized, "Man, the GPU just isn’t cutting it here." So I upgraded to an RTX 4090. That’s when I saw what "full performance" really meant. Render times dropped even more, and I could finally run games, edit videos, and even stream smoothly at the same time. So yeah, I think it really depends on what you’re using your rig for. If gaming’s your focus, GPU matters more, but for rendering and heavy multitasking, CPU is king. Personally, I think you gotta balance both—otherwise, if one bottlenecks, the other ends up wasted.
