Curious about this too: When doing network cabling in offices or data centers, what types of cables do you usually prefer? I can't quite grasp the differences between UTP, STP, Cat6, etc. What are your experiences? Which one do you use in which scenario? Also, which category is sufficient for 10G Ethernet?
Which cable type is preferred for network cabling?

I recently set up the cabling for a small office and ultimately went with Cat6 UTP. For a home or office environment with minimal interference, it's perfect because it's cost-effective and supports up to 10G speeds at 55 meters. If there were more equipment with motors or sources of interference, I would have gone with STP to avoid errors, but in my case, it wasn't necessary.
