I'm curious, in your opinion, what methods can be used to create a backup strategy that minimizes data loss? For example, is it safer to combine local and cloud-based backups or to focus on just one? How often should backups be made, and which methods yield the most effective results? I'd love to hear your detailed approaches.

The answers you gave actually take me back to a nightmare I went through last year. I spent months working on a large database file for a project, and I was so sure it was safe because I only kept it on the cloud server—no local backup. That morning, the system went into an update, and the database got corrupted. Worse, no recovery tool could fix it. That’s when I realized how dangerous it is to rely on a single backup source. During the recovery process, I saw just how stupid I’d been for not following the 3-2-1 rule (3 copies, 2 different media, 1 offsite location). Now, for every project, I keep local backups on an external HDD and distribute cloud backups across servers in different geographic regions. I also manually verify them often to make sure everything’s intact. That disaster taught me a hard lesson: simple backup strategies may look trivial, but you have to take them seriously if you want to avoid data loss.
