Friends and family, I think Web 3.0 has gotten way too hyped up, but there are still some places that actually offer useful things. Last year, I dabbled in a few NFT projects—liked the decentralized idea and felt good about directly supporting some artists. But if we're talking about something you can actually go and use today, it still feels a bit early to me.
I think the most practical applications right now are crypto wallets and DeFi (decentralized finance) platforms. For example, with the Brave browser, you earn BAT tokens by watching ads and can send those tokens directly to content creators. Man, in this setup, you're not just throwing money at centralized ad networks—you're actually supporting the people making the content. Is it super practical for daily life? Maybe not yet, but if more of these little apps pop up in the future, I think Web 3.0 will be something worth keeping an eye on.
