In recent years, building a budget PC has become a common practice, but doubts always arise about where to prioritize the investment. Do you prefer to allocate most of the budget to the GPU, even if it's mid-range, or focus on a CPU with good multicore performance and complement it with a modest graphics card? Also, what role do SSDs play compared to HDDs in a tight budget? I'd like to hear the community's opinion on the most balanced combination for light gaming and productivity without breaking the bank. In my latest build, I focused first on a Ryzen 5 5600G CPU, which has decent integrated graphics. With a good 500GB NVMe drive, I got instant boot-ups and minimal load times, basically eliminating the need for a dedicated GPU for daily tasks and light gaming. When the budget allows, I added a used GTX 1650 Super; the performance boost in modern titles is noticeable, but the total cost still stays under $600. In short, invest in a CPU with integrated graphics and a quality SSD; the GPU can be upgraded later, while the rest of the system (16GB DDR4 RAM and a well-ventilated case) ensures there are no bottlenecks.
