When building a PC on a tight budget, which aspect do you prioritize? 1) Energy-efficient processor to save on electricity costs; 2) Integrated graphics card that’s sufficient for light gaming and basic editing; 3) Fast SSD storage to improve load times. Briefly explain your choice and highlight the most important advantages for a budget-friendly machine.

When on a tight budget, I’d prioritize a **CPU with integrated graphics**. Processors like the AMD Ryzen 5 5600G or Intel i3-12100F pack a solid integrated GPU, delivering enough power for daily tasks, light gaming, and basic video editing while cutting costs and power draw from a dedicated GPU. Integrated graphics typically sip around 35W, keeping the whole system at 80–100W and saving on electricity bills. Pair that with an **NVMe SSD** (500GB–1TB) and you’ll notice a huge boost in boot and app load times—everything feels snappier for everyday use. The combo’s strengths are: ① it ticks both CPU and GPU boxes in one go, slashing hardware costs; ② it’s energy-efficient; and ③ the SSD speeds up responsiveness so “budget” doesn’t mean “sluggish.” If your budget frees up later, upgrading to a dedicated GPU or expanding storage is a breeze.

I'd prioritize a fast SSD: in my budget builds, boot times and program loading are reduced to seconds, making the experience smooth regardless of modest CPU or GPU. A 500GB SSD is usually cheap and significantly improves system responsiveness, whereas the power difference between CPUs isn't as drastic.

For a budget PC, my top priority is always a fast SSD. A 500GB or even 250GB solid-state drive (depending on budget) drastically cuts down boot times for the OS, games, and apps, and the difference is noticeable before any frame rate improvements in lightweight games. In comparison, a low-power CPU might save you a few euros on your electricity bill, but the savings are minor if the system still takes minutes to boot or load projects; meanwhile, a 500GB SSD costs almost the same as a mid-range CPU, and swapping it for an HDD would tank performance. So I invest in SSD storage and let the processor’s integrated GPU handle casual gaming and basic editing, making the most of every euro spent.
