Looking for a system around a 2000₺ budget for office and media use, not gaming. Want at least 16GB RAM, an SSD, and a modern CPU. Any component combo recommendations? Should I go for a user-friendly Linux distro or stick with Windows? What’s the best price-to-performance balance here?

For around 2000₺, one of the most sensible choices would be a combination of Intel’s new-generation Celeron or Pentium Gold series CPU (e.g., G7400) + an H610 chipset motherboard. RAM isn’t a concern—just grab a 16GB kit of dead DDR4s to secure it. For the SSD, a 480GB–1TB NVMe model (e.g., Kingston A400) is a must for price-performance—if you want to avoid the Windows monopoly while running Windows and Office. As for Linux, in the budget-friendly department, Linux Mint Cinnamon or Zorin OS are honestly the most logical choices. They’re lightweight, the interface is as familiar as Windows, and you can comfortably run 4–5 programs on an SSD without partitioning. If you’re forced to, you can also install Windows Home with a cheap license, but honestly, a Windows license wouldn’t even fit in that budget. Alternatively, you could revive an old laptop with 8GB DDR4 + 240GB SSD—after all, the goal is just office work and media.
