The rise of generative AI has blurred the line between human creativity and automated output. While tools like LLMs and image generators push creative boundaries, concerns grow over originality, attribution, and intellectual property. Where do we draw the line? Is this evolution empowering artists and writers, or diluting human effort with cheap imitations? I'm curious about the community's take—especially from those using these tools professionally or ethically. Is the tech's potential worth its ethical gray areas?

I remember when I first used an AI to generate some concept art for a hobby project. At first, it was amazing—just typing a few keywords and getting a detailed illustration in seconds. But then I realized the uncanny valley effect: the images looked impressive at a glance, but lacked the intentional depth and subtle imperfections that make human-made art unique. I ended up using it as a base and manually tweaking it to add my own touch, which felt like cheating at first, but then just became another part of the process. That experience made me think a lot about attribution. If I ship a game with AI-generated assets, should I list the AI tool as a "co-creator"? Feels weird, but at the same time, it’s just a tool like Photoshop or a 3D scanner. The real question is whether we’re using AI to augment creativity or replace it—and that line keeps shifting.

What do people here think about how AI-generated content adds value—or detracts from—human labor? Any thoughts?
