How do technologies like artificial intelligence and virtual reality shape our process of imagining today? Do these tools not only offer new scenarios but also expand our sources of creativity and inspiration? In your opinion, do such technological aids disrupt the natural flow of our imagination or deepen it further? I’d love to hear different perspectives and experiences on this topic.

Last spring, I set up an Arduino and a simple VR headset for a group of 14-15-year-olds in my class. They decided to design a "space exploration game." At first, they drew a spaceship out of cardboard and paper and described their scenario to each other. The kids tried to describe the colors, sounds, and even the "gravity" of the planets they imagined using whatever they could find in the dictionary. When they put on the VR headset, their drawings suddenly transformed into 3D. The kids started walking in a "real" space; they passed between stars while still feeling the vibration from the Arduino in their hands. Instead of seeing the code controlling the output of a motor connected to the circuit, this vibration matched the sound of them shouting, "I started the spaceship's engine!" In the end, they didn't just describe their imagined scenario with words; they experienced it in a space they could "touch" with their hands. From my perspective, this technology didn't disrupt the flow of their imagination; on the contrary, it deepened it. Because the kids were still creating their own worlds, but now they could test that world and get instant feedback. So, their imagination was still in charge, but thanks to VR and AI, the boundaries of that imagination expanded, and new connections were discovered. Honestly, while watching this experiment, I even felt a sense of "exploration" myself; technology functioned like a bridge for our imagination, not limiting it, but enhancing it.
