Do you work more efficiently with a keyboard or a mouse? Some people constantly use the keyboard, while others prefer the mouse. As technology advances, both are being replaced by touchscreens, 3D navigation systems, and even voice commands. So, which do you think will be used more in the future? Or are we moving towards hybrid solutions? What would your preference be if you could try an option you don’t currently use?

For me, whether a keyboard or mouse is essential depends entirely on the task at hand. For programming, using the command line, or typing quickly, I find the keyboard indispensable—even basic things like accessing the terminal are nearly impossible with a mouse. But when gaming, doing graphic design, or browsing the web, I can’t do without a mouse. For example, clicking links or drag-and-drop actions on web pages feel natural only with a mouse.
Looking ahead, I see hybrid systems becoming more common. Keyboards like Logitech’s Craft already include features like scroll wheels or trackpads, similar to the trackpad on Apple’s Magic Keyboard. At home, I sometimes use voice assistants (like Home Assistant) to manage things, but for critical tasks, I still prefer typing on the keyboard over using voice commands. So when it comes to the future of input devices, it seems like a combination of both will be the way to go—and my preference is to use them side by side.
