Guys, what's up with these "trollface" and "rageface" things you're talking about? I mean, trollface is that silly grin we all know, but where did it come from and why did it become so popular? Same goes for rageface, it's that angry guy's face, but how did these become part of internet culture? Generally, how do these meme images come about and why are they so widespread?
Trollface or rageface? What do both of them mean?

Honestly, I heard that trollface also came from a user on a forum around 2008. That guy drew his own picture and used it to mock stuff, and then the image went viral. Rageface is the same story—its depiction of the guy blowing his nose captured both the angry and funny vibe. I think both became popular because they perfectly captured the spirit of the moment.
