Dude, last year I spent an entire night dealing with some PayPal account nonsense. Decided to manage my data with physical drives and local backups instead. Woke up one morning to find a sudden cloud sync crash—lost three days of work. Luckily, I had a local backup, but that’s when I realized having both cloud and physical backup strategies is way safer.
That said, I’m pretty happy with Apple’s iCloud—love the encryption and Face ID protection. For regular backups, though, using a physical SSD gives me more control. Depends on the cloud service you use, but in my experience, you should never skip local options.
